Horror Week – Director’s Week

This month The Film Queue is going to try something different.

Typically, during one week a month we would focus on the work of one filmmaker, but for the month of October, we figured instead of doing that, we’re going to focus on a genre, horror films. The assignment for our writers was quite simple, pick a horror film that can arguably be considered iconic, or influential whether that be to us or to the rest of society and write about it. We always are proud and happy with our output, but we are possibly more so since this month we shine a light on films that aren’t always appreciated like they deserve. So, let’s praise the camp, the gore, the bad acting, and the good acting.

This post will work as a master post, so as the week continues, we will update this page with all our dedicated articles.

We hope you get as terrified as we were when we watched these films.

The Exorcist
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Ginger Snaps
The Cabin in the Woods

Director’s Week – David Fincher

A new Director’s Week here at The Film Queue.

One week out of every month will be dedicated to a single director.

David Fincher is known for his talent with the craft of filmmaking. He pays the utmost attention to every shot and attempts to make them the best shot it can be. Starting at ILM, and then making commercials and music videos before becoming one of the best directors working today. Even with his twisted sensibilities, some of his films own part of the hearts to some of the writers.

This post will work as a master post, so as the week continues, we will update this page with all our dedicated articles.

Happy reading!
