Director’s Week: The Wachowskis

A new Director’s Week here at The Film Queue.

One week out of every month will be dedicated to a single director. All of our usual segments will be connected in some way to that director.

Lilly and Lana Wachowski have been making films together since their 1996 debut, Bound. They hit it big with their next film The Matrix. Along their 20 year career as director’s, they’ve made many different films that the writers here love, but at the core of each film is one theme that has stuck through, and that’s for being true to yourself. Accepting who you are, and who you’re destined to be. Since as of writing this both Lilly and Lana have transitioned from previously being the Wachowski brothers to now being the Wachowski sisters, it’s clear why this message rings so true in their films. So this week, we take a look at some of the incredible work that Lilly and Lana Wachowski has accomplished.

This post will work as a master post, so as the week continues, we will update this page with all our dedicated articles.

Happy reading!
